About Andrea
What inspires me is offering tools and practices for self-calming to children and adults. I work one-on-one as a coach, with groups as a facilitator and in K-12 classroom settings as a teacher.
I began meditating 35 years ago as a student at Western Washington University in Bellingham. Through mindful inquiry, I was able to overcome my anxiety, insecurity and inner fears. Today, I use this experience to relate to my students as they observe obstacles and transform their way of relating to their bodies and minds.
My training includes certification as a K-12 teacher with specialties in Special Education and English Language Learning. I am also certified as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor, as well as with CARE for teachers, Mindful Schools, and the Learning to Breathe curriculum
